Kids at LifeSwitch

A children's program full of intentionality in Lower Hutt, Upper Hutt and the Wellington Region.

How fun is done.

Being a child is awesome, but also very different to being a teen or adult. As a parent or caregiver, you want the best for your child - great friends, good role models and safe places for them to belong - at LifeSwitch, kids experience safe, age-appropriate environments where they learn about Jesus in a creative and relevant way. Kids at LifeSwitch is so much more than childcare. It is the place for your kids to find friendships and fun every Sunday morning.

Each Kids at LifeSwitch environment is designed with biblical truth and real-life application that reaches kids at their age and stage. Partnering with you to raise awesome kids is our heart.

And if you have a baby with you, you're welcome to use The Parents Room (a small room found off our Main Foyer) or take your little one into the Auditorium. We have baby earmuffs located on the way into the Auditorium that you are welcome to borrow.

We would love to have you and your family visit Kids at LifeSwitch

Your first visit.

Here's what to expect when visiting Kids at LifeSwitch for the first time:

First, find the desk marked for First Time Check-In. There we will meet your family, fill out a quick sign up form and check your child in, and then one of our volunteers will lead you and your child to their age-appropriate space.

Upon checking in for the first time, we will ask for the following personal information (NOTE: We value your privacy and will not share this information with anyone):

  • Parent/guardian names
  • Child's name
  • Child's birthdate
  • Home address
  • Phone number
  • Any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your children

How check-in works.

We require all parents/caregivers to check in and check out  their children.  It's fast and simple, and helps us provide a safe environment and care for all kids entrusted to us. We always have a team member around if you need a hand too! Here's how it works...

Before Service

Doors to the kids area open 15 minutes before the programme. Follow the signage down to the kids foyer.
On your first time, one of our team will help get you checked in and registered.
The following times you can check-in your child at any of our kiosks. After finding your child’s name in the database, you can hit "Check-In" and they will be signed in. Once signed in, it's as easy as dropping your child into the space for their age.

After Service

After the service is complete, you will return to your child’s space, collect your child and sign them out at any available check-in kiosk before exiting.

This is as simple as scrolling to their name and tapping "Check Out".

During Service

In the event that we need to contact you during the service, a team member will come to collect you.

If you are unable to be located, we will try texting you using the phone number provided when you register you child.

The Parents Room

Babies & Under 2s

We currently offer childcare during service for children aged 2 and up. But we also have a room that is available for parents with infants under 2. This room is reserved exclusively for parents with infants to enjoy the service in a more private and quiet environment. 'The Parents Room' is located just off the Foyer and is equipped with a change table, toys for the little ones, plus a live feed of the service from the Auditorium.

Please note, this room is unattended and therefore all children in this space must be accompanied by an adult.
