A Brand New Facility
At LifeSwitch, our heart is for the Next Generation. It’s more than a statement—it’s a conviction that shapes how we budget, prioritise and plan. Next Gen ministry isn’t something that happens on the sidelines; it’s a core part of who we are as a church.
We know we’re biased, but we genuinely believe there are few better places to lead a youth ministry. From the incredible facilities at Silverstream Retreat—including our own go-kart track—to the annual camps we run and the strong relationships we’ve already built with local schools, the foundations are already in place for someone to come in and lead an exceptional youth ministry.
And there’s even more on the horizon. We’re currently building a brand-new, state-of-the-art, multimillion-dollar facility specifically designed to house and grow our youth programmes. Set to be ready at the end of this year, it’s a space full of possibility and potential—and the perfect opportunity for a new Youth Pastor to step in, build on what’s already happening, and take the ministry to the next level.

Why the Vacancy?
Our current Youth Pastor, Jono Chaplow, is stepping out of the role after seven years to pursue an opportunity in the public sector.
This means an exciting opportunity has opened for someone to join our awesome team! You’ll be stepping into a strong, well-established youth ministry, supported by a mature and experienced leadership team, with more than 60 young people from a wide range of backgrounds and stories gathering each week.
There’s some flexibility within the role, but Wednesdays, Sunday mornings and one additional weeknight are essential commitments.
