Book Club Group
Tuesdays 7-8.30PM | Trentham | Led by Ness Waight
Each semester we will discuss a new book. The books we explore will be generally focused on connection through conversation.
In this group we will explore the book together, discuss our thoughts, and share ideas. The reading will be meaningful and easily manageable - 1 to 2 chapters a week max.
The book for this semester is called “Advent - the season of hope”. We tend to think of advent as a time of anticipation before Christmas - and while it is that, it's also much more. Throughout its history, the church has observed advent as a preparation not only for the first coming of Christ but also for his second coming in the last days. It's also about a third coming: the coming of Christ to meet us in our present moment. In this short volume, priest and writer Tish Harrison Warren explores all three of these "comings" of Christ and invites us into a deeper experience of advent.
Come join us, as we connect and create community through conversation.
